Foodies has moved away from packing all orders into custom boxes; instead we now have Mt Cotton farm packing the fresh fruit and veg for us - available fortnightly as before. With our pantry items, these are now available once every six weeks and we still pack that order into individual boxes.
We have different systems for each option, with instructions below. Once initial setup is sorted it should be fairly simple to order and pay each time.
That said - we're here to give you regular access to high quality food and pantry items. Check through the steps here, and sync up with our ordering and packing rhythm.

We are a buying group accessing healthy and quality food together in order to get good prices for great quality items
Work is shared among the group members
Food groups support local Australian farmers and producers who use sustainable practices
Food groups obtain high quality, chemical free, mostly organic fresh food
Food groups are based in kindness to the earth, (methods used), the farmers (fair profits), the purveyors (providing a workable platform) and most importantly us: kind to our wallet and our bodies. We are a community.
The process has been made easy, sharpened over 11 years of Food Groups
We are pragmatic in our Covid approach: simply maintaining focus on keeping everyone safe.
Since October 2016, Coochie Foodies has operated to bring a wide range of local or regional food and household pantry products and grocery items to the island fortnightly.
We use an online ordering system, where orders are placed a week in advance of delivery. Ordering from Coochie Foodies works particularly well if you are able to embrace eating and cooking creatively with fresh foods that are currently in season.
Sign up for the Coochie Foodies Facebook page for regular information and updates on products and group processes.
Details on all is on the Practical pages.
Our products are either chemical free or certified organic, from purveyor Sovereign Foods and farmers like Mt Cotton Organic Farm who wouldn't have it any other way. Sample lists are on the product page
Farmers get paid 40%+ of what we pay, compared with the 14%- or lower cut they get from the big boys (AlWoolCo). The food we bring in, is good for the farm, the farmer, and of course ourselves. This is Why we Bother
We operate as a group to keep costs down by working voluntary to carry out tasks such as; completing admin work and by collecting and bringing the ordered items to the island each fortnight. The result of this cooperation is that Coochie Foodies members are able to order as little or as much as they need each fortnight . See the products here.
