(Remember that 2 chunks/ 1 section usually = 1 paragraph)
Start by creating a topic sentence for your paragraph based on whatever organizational structure you have chosen.
“Summarize” the kind of information in the 2 CDs that are going to be a part of your paragraph
EX: Another reason it's so important for schools to start later is the biology of teenage body clocks and sleep cycles. (*this assumes that you will go into more detail about that general statement)
You MAY choose to have the body of your paragraph in the exact same order as your outline. You MAY choose to blend and weave your analysis into your evidence so that they are not completely separated.
Begin with analysis instead of evidence.
Single sentence that includes both analysis and evidence.
You SHOULD watch out repetition between your two chunks (sometimes, you need all the steps of logic for each chunk, but explaining it once in a paragraph, is enough).
You are more focused on flow and sentence structure now because you have already done all of the content thinking.
You want to make sure everything is academically proofed
No note form
Proper capitalization and punctuation
You read it out loud or you have someone else read it and tell you where it sounds off
For CDs, try to make it so that someone who hears it read out loud can’t tell where the quote starts and ends.
Read the sentence out loud as if there was no quotation mark. It should sound like a fluid sentence.
You probably aren’t going to start it with a capital letter
