As you go through the processes listed above, you may also find that your argument has changed. Don’t forget to reflect this in your claim. Once that is done, you can add on a concluding paragraph

• Your concluding paragraph should be as many sentences as you need to:

  • Summarize your argument about the author's purpose (argument)

  • Summarize how the author made his/her purpose clear

  • Connect the author's purpose to the greater human experience (explain why it should matter to the reader)
