DASA Providers

The DASA Program available through the Connetquot Teacher Center has been discontinued

School of Professional Development Certification & Licensing WorkshopsChapter 544 of New York State Law (1988) requires many licensed professionals, teachers and school administrators applying for the renewal of a license, registration, certificate or limited permit to complete coursework regarding child abuse, substance abuse and school violence. To satisfy these requirements, SPD offers four workshops and instructions on how to obtain fingerprinting. Additionally, effective October 1, 2009 it is recommended that all teachers and administrators enroll in the four-hour Autism workshop. Also, effective December 31, 2013, all teacher and administrative candidates must enroll in the six-hour DASA workshop.
