Completing your Connect Care Training
Alberta Health Services has implemented a new Clinical Information System, Connect Care. You will require access to Connect Care and therefore have to complete basic training and pass the end user performance assessment (EUPA) that relates to their specialty.
Completing your Training to get Access to Connect Care
Actions you will complete to get access to Connect Care
Basic Training provides the foundation for Connect Care. You will complete basic training independently through a combination of online videos and interacting with the Connect Care system. Please use the Training by Role to find specific training information for your specialty.
Assessment you must complete your End User Proficiency Assessment (EUPA) with a score of 80% or higher in order to gain access to Connect Care. The EUPA may be taken multiple times without penalty.
Access is enabled overnight, via automated processes, after passing the appropriate EUPA
Personalization once access has been enabled you are encouraged to attend a personalization session. Providers benefit from attending instructor led personalization. Personalizing features in Connect Care empowers users to make the system their own, so that it reflects their favourites, preferences, and shortcuts.
