A Statement of Confidence in the President 

To the Members of the Board of Trustees,

We are writing to express our unequivocal and resolute support for President Harrison of Wenatchee Valley College. As citizen taxpayers, we have had the privilege of observing firsthand the remarkable leadership and integrity that President Harrison has consistently demonstrated during his tenure. In these challenging times, when the College is facing both significant financial pressures and the imperative to secure its accreditation, President Harrison has shown an unwavering commitment to the institution's long-term success and stability.

It is with great concern, however, that we have noted the recent calls for the removal of President Harrison. These calls appear to be driven by [Redacted per posting guidelines]. It is distressing to witness how certain individuals, [Redacted per posting guidelines]. These large academic departments consistently hire only white persons, which is troubling at a Hispanic Serving Institution.

President Harrison has proven time and again that his decisions are rooted in transparency, ethical standards, and a genuine desire to see Wenatchee Valley College thrive. He has worked tirelessly to ensure the College’s financial health, often making difficult choices that have prioritized the institution’s long-term viability. Under his leadership, the College has made significant strides toward securing its accreditation, a process that is both critical and complex. These accomplishments speak to the President's intelligence, work ethic, and unwavering dedication to the future of the College and its students.

It is deeply concerning that any push to remove President Harrison could be influenced by [Redacted per posting guidelines]. The rhetoric surrounding President Harrison’s leadership seems to disproportionately come from [Redacted per posting guidelines]. These individuals, rather than contributing to the betterment of the College, seem determined to undermine a leader who has worked diligently to bring about positive change.

It is essential that the Board of Trustees stands firm against these [Redacted per posting guidelines] and reaffirms its support for a leader who has shown exceptional dedication, competence, and ethical stewardship. President Harrison has led with intelligence and transparency, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and resilience. His leadership is not only a testament to his character but also to the values that should guide the future of Wenatchee Valley College.

We urge you to resist any external pressures that may seek to compromise the stability and integrity of this institution. President Harrison deserves our full support, and we stand behind him without reservation
