GOT EXAMS?
This is your one stop shop for study resources for each unit. For more information, click on the corresponding exam for specific tips and strategies.
Office Hours: Faculty hold office hours three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) or by appointment. This is an opportunity to ask questions, review any content, review dissection images, be quizzed with dissection images, try a few exam-style questions. You do not have to be prepared to attend office hours. Come as you are for as long as you want. You are not expected to stay the entire duration.
One-on-one (or group) Meetings with Dr. Garofalo: Dr. Garofalo is available by appointment to review, answer questions, quiz you with donor images, ask exam-style questions, discuss study habits, etc. Set up a time with Dr. Garofalo now >>
SI Sessions: These sessions will help you preview, prepare, and review for each lab session. Answer keys for worksheets are posted after the SI session. During tutor-led lab time, you will preview structures that will be dissected in lab, helping you prepare and use your lab time efficiently.

Practice identifying structures outside of lab!
Below is a quick recap of the sources of images you encounter in this block. Be sure to use a combination of these image resources for your learning.
ILM slides: Many ILM slides contain donor images that we specifically selected because they provide good representations of the relevant anatomy.
Review slides: These include relevant donor images, labeled and unlabeled.
Rohan Color Atlas of Anatomy: one of the atlases recommended in the course syllabus, many of the images used in this course come from Rohan.
BlueLink: Some of the donor images used in this course come from Michigan BlueLink. https://sites.google.com/a/umich.edu/bluelink/resources/bluelink?authuser=0
Abrahams’ and McMinn’s Clinical Atlas of Human Anatomy: Digital atlas is available through the UA Library. Some of the donor images we use in this course come from this resource.
In development!
Check out these quick tips for exam weeks:
Exam practice resources: Tutor question practice bank and Thought Question answer key. These resources will be posted the Friday before the exam.
Workshops: These are mandatory Active Learning sessions that are typically scheduled the Tuesday before an exam. Here you will receive a bank of 10 retired exam questions and you will sit with your table team. You will be able to work through the exam questions (with 90 second timing prompts) independently. This is a great way to understand the timing and tempo for answering the questions. After, table teams discuss the reasoning for each question and answer option and instructors will be available for questions and guidance. Instructors will provide you with the answer key in the last 15 minutes of the session.
Office hours: See details above. Again, you do not have to be prepared to attend office hours. Come as you are for as long as you want. You are not expected to stay the entire duration.
