We need a Challenge Quilt Host!
The Columbine Quilt Guild holds a Challenge Quilt activity each calendar year. Usually, the challenge is announced at the January meeting and the following January the quilts are displayed and voted on by the membership. The Challenge may be hosted by a single chairperson, by a bee, or just a group of quilters wanting to become involved. Persons/bees wanting to host a challenge are encouraged to contact Paula and let her know of your interest.
A history of Columbine's past Challenge Quilts is Under the Challenge tab.
Columbine is always interested in new ideas for our Challenges!
The purpose of the Columbine Quilt Guild is to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere where all persons are welcome. The Guild provides a full program of educational meetings and workshops to promote quilting and to preserve the heritage of the art and craft of quilting.

What to do if there is a SNOW DAY on a Columbine Meeting Day?
We have a 3-prong plan:
Denver Church of Christ is in Jefferson County. We will follow the snow schedule for Jefferson County Public Schools. Watch the TV, listen to the radio, or check the internet to see if they are closed for our meeting date. If JCPS closes, the Columbine meeting at DCC will be canceled - BUT we will do a ZOOM so watch for the members email with that info.
If the snow or ice comes later in the day, the Board will send an eBlast by early afternoon to all members to cancel the meeting at the church. It will then be posted on our website on the HOME and CALENDAR pages. ZOOM information will be included in the eBlast if, and only if, we can rearrange the meeting to be hosted via ZOOM.
Rely on your intuition. If you have any concerns about driving on snowy or icy roads, get a cup of hot cocoa or wine and attend via ZOOM (if applicable). If the meeting is entirely canceled, grab a good book and cuddle up with a warm snuggly quilt for the evening!
