Do you have a skill, talent, or gift to share with the Guild?

Give It A Try is about Sharing Our Gifts

Excitement is growing for our Give it a Try series in 2023. Give It A Try is a fundraiser for the Guild where Guild members volunteer their time, talent, and homes to provide workshops, tours, experiences, and retreats for a nominal fee.

We need our talented Guild members to volunteer to host one of these classes or another topic of your choice at a Give It a Try event in 2023.

Below is a list of ideas: (We know you talented ladies have skills and gifts we don’t even know about.)

What to do if there is a SNOW DAY on a Columbine Meeting Day?

We have a 3-prong plan:

  1. Denver Church of Christ is in Jefferson County. We will follow the snow schedule for Jefferson County Public Schools. Watch the TV, listen to the radio, or check the internet to see if they are closed for our meeting date. If JCPS closes, the Columbine meeting at DCC will be canceled - BUT we will do a ZOOM so watch for the members email with that info.

  2. If the snow or ice comes later in the day, the Board will send an eBlast by early afternoon to all members to cancel the meeting at the church. It will then be posted on our website on the HOME and CALENDAR pages. ZOOM information will be included in the eBlast if, and only if, we can rearrange the meeting to be hosted via ZOOM.

  3. Rely on your intuition. If you have any concerns about driving on snowy or icy roads, get a cup of hot cocoa or wine and attend via ZOOM (if applicable). If the meeting is entirely canceled, grab a good book and cuddle up with a warm snuggly quilt for the evening!
