The Outdoor Classroom was made possible by the Lancaster County Community Foundation and Lancaster Clean Water Partners.

The Classroom is managed by the College Park Climate Action Neighborhood.
The Outdoor Community Classroom is NOW OPEN!
We encourage you to start thinking how you, your school, organization, club, or friends can utilize this new space, complete with 5 educational signs, learning circle and little science library. The Classroom is open to all! From garden clubs to elementary students, poetry slams to bird watching, meditation to urban planning seminars, consider the Outdoor Community Classroom your space to explore the wonder and complexity of our environment. Start at the WAYFINDING sign and then be sure to visit our five curiosity stations, Urban Meadow Magic, the Rain Garden, Composting - the Food We Breathe, The Wonder of Trees, and the Street Tree Arboretum, plus our artful Stormwater Murals, to learn how we can strengthen our community by caring for our environment.
Below you'll find additional information for each station to dig deeper or spark creativity. Go ahead -

Observe, predict, compare and contrast.
Discover why the air and water we depend on depend on us too.
You will find a QR code on each educational sign that will take you to this site, and provide a Spanish translation of each sign.
