Hornet Nation is the Fifth Hour session of the South & West Washtenaw Consortium for the Video News Production Program. Hornet Nation focuses on high school sports for the Saline High School Hornets in Michigan. This program has been recognized for the highest level of state recognition by the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA) Spartan Award Spartan Award 10 times since 2014. Hornet Nation has been an inductee member of the MIPA Student Media Hall of Fame since 2025.
