Crescent Limited

The Southern Railway's Crescent Limited, in Virginia Green with Red roofs, operated between New York City and New Orleans, from 1929 to 1941. The names of the cars are stops along the route: High Point, North Carolina; Newnan, Georgia; Bay Minette, Alabama; Edgewater Park, Mississippi; and "Crescent City", a popular nickname for New Orleans, Louisiana. The car numbers correspond to the mileposts at these cities, measured from New York's Penn Station.
