Those familiar with the original Classic Model Corporation and Classic Model Trains know that many items were available in kit form as well as ready to run. In that spirit, we are offering a limited number of Boxcar Kits. Each kit comes in its own box stamped with the CMT logo and includes:
A matching pair of NOS CMC/CMT boxcar sides.*
All remaining parts (CMT, LLC new production) needed to complete the boxcar

*Please note these sides are truly New Old Stock, some over 40 years old! Some sets of sides have "aged" better than others, so they are not as consistent as new production. Two of the roadnames (MD&W and Pabst) were repainted and decals applied to improve appearance. Please check the photos of these sides carefully when selecting and ordering your kits.
Less than 40 sets of sides remain in stock, in a twelve different road names. These kits are truly limited. Some road names are down to one kit, so don't delay!

When the NOS sides are gone, there will be no more kits, as new production boxcars are the result of an updated design and construction methods.
