2021 LGBTQ+ Community Days
The Miramar College LGBTQ+ Alliance invites you to two days of education, conversation, and celebration!
We began on Wed. April 14, 2021 at 10 am with a Special Welcome from President Lundburg and a panel on Representation Matters featuring Chancellor-Elect Carlos Turner Cortez, Trustee Craig Milgrim, and District Researcher and Analyst Jaime Sykes-Seiverd. We finished on Thurs. April 15, 2021 at 7 pm with a fabulous Drag Queen Story Hour! Featuring two local San Diego Drag performers reading children's books that celebrate being your authentic self!
Between those times, there were many other panels, presentations, support groups, social events, resources and workshops, including:

A Virtual Game Night
The Club Spectrum Winter Social: A Game Night was a great time with lots of laughs, and hopefully some new friends were made, too.
Huge shout out to Natalia from Chemistry Affiliate Club for donating the use of her Jackbox Party Pack game, big thanks to Advisor Gonzalez for ensuring that we all have a safe space to be ourselves, and most importantly, Thank YOU! Thank you to the Miramar Students for coming as you are to create an inclusive community for your peers.
Club Spectrum can only have events like this when students show an interest. Tell your friends and allies about us and encourage them to get involved. Check out the Club Spectrum announcements to stay up-to-date about our little gay agenda, and come to our meetings if you can!

Thanksgiving Back 2020
Club Spectrum's Fall Volunteer Opportunity
Club Spectrum was excited to partner with the San Diego Miramar College Food Pantry for the club's Fall 2020 volunteer opportunity. Club Spectrum officers, members, and alumni helped to distribute more than 100 bags of donated groceries and other food items to those facing food insecurity leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday.
