Hi everyone,
My name is Madi Bucci and I am a preservice teacher with a double major in early and special education. Throughout my time at West Chester University I have learned so much about classroom management techniques and strategies through field experiences and other classes. EGP 400 has opened my eyes to so many new teaching philosophies, strategies, and classroom setups to help me throughout my student teaching experience and when I have my own classroom! This website that I have created shares lots of information and resources that I think are beneficial for all types of learners and that I plan on implementing into my future classroom. I have also included my personal teaching philosophy below!
PS: In order to navigate the website, click on the tabs located at the top of the page to learn about different topics related to classroom management. Enjoy!
My teaching philosophy has always been based off of four guidelines; inclusion, support, differentiation, and high standards/ goals. I have chosen teaching as my career path because I want to make a difference in students lives. Watching children set goals for themselves and achieve them is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced in life. I believe as teachers, it is our job to hold every student, no matter their strengths, weaknesses, or learning style, to high expectations and standards. Every child deserves to have a consistent support system both inside and outside of the classroom that believes in them and their abilities. I also believe that it is so important every student is represented in the classroom from the first day of school until the last. Whether that is materials, and lessons based off of their race, cultures, etc. or hanging students work around the classroom. Representing students sense of self and advocating for them helps to promote an inclusive community. One of the most important jobs as a teacher is to build lasting relationships and bonds with student while guiding them to make connections with their peers.
