Look how far we've come!

You really get to know people well when you spend so much time with them. We drove for hours, did service, enjoyed meals together, reflected, and so much more- All together. The cohesiveness of our group made our service trip even more successful and rewarding.

Sleep is very important. Almost everyone in our group was caught napping in the car at some point on the trip, which is why we created #NapCam in our group chat to share napping photos.

Though we all served together, our experiences varied. Some of our group members formed meaningful connections with staff and clients at the agencies we served. Other members looked further into the issues and policies we learned about at the agencies we served. For example, we learned about the 211 Social Services Hotline that is available to Milwaukee residents.

After visiting Black Cat Alley, the group adopted a saying that was written on one of the walls, "who is she? 100," which anyone around our group would hear us say countless times everyday. After reflecting as a group, gaining different perspectives and serving diverse agencies, we grew as a group. As a whole, we gained a deeper understanding of one another and it helped us to understand how that affects the way we are.

This trip changed us all in our own ways, but we all have on thing that we gained in common: friends.
