One Big Thing Spell

One Big Thing Spell

Are you basically okay, except for one big thing that you just can't seem to forget or move beyond? Whether it is an injustice, a victimization, a loss, a failure, an illness, a missed opportunity, a disaster, a mistake, a historic event, a person you can't seem to get over, or something else, this spell can help you to finally get past it. It is an outdoor spell that is best cast on a bright day in pleasant weather. You will need:

a white balloon with a string attached to it (A heliumfilled balloon is best, but one blown up by mouth will do.) a felt-tip pen four sticks of incense (Use four sticks of the same scent. Make this cedar, copal, dragon's blood, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, or sandalwood, if possible.)

Preparation

Give deep thought to the problem or issue you need to get over. Reduce it to a few words, and write them on the balloon. Blow it up, and tie the string to it. You are going to release it as part of the spell, so if you are concerned about someone seeing you or finding your balloon, turn it inside out and write on it, then turn it right side out and blow it up.

Select a location to cast the spell. This should be an open place that has no tree branches or power lines overhead. It should also be a somewhat private site where you are not likely to be interrupted. A helium balloon will soar without wind, but you should wait for a breezy day to cast the spell if you use an air-filled one.

The Spell

Take the balloon and the incense to the place you have chosen. Secure the balloon. Get into a magickal mood, raise power, and light the sticks of incense. Face each of the cardinal points in turn as you cast the spell. Begin by turning to the North and saying:

Guardians of the North,

Powers of Earth, powers of clarity, Make this spell a reality.

Push one stick of incense into the ground. Turn to the East and say:

Guardians of the East,

Powers of Air, powers of thought, Make this spell work as sought.

Push another stick of incense into the ground. Turn to the South and say:

Guardians of the South,

Powers of Fire, powers of energy,

Make this spell work immediately.

Push a stick of incense into the ground. Turn to the West and say:

Guardians of the West,

Powers of Water, powers of emotion, Put this spell into motion.

Push the last stick of incense into the ground, and grasp the balloon by its string.

Stand in the center of the space that you have defined with the incense sticks, holding the balloon. Concentrate on releasing your issue with the balloon. Hold it up, and let go of the string. Watch the balloon take flight, and visualize the burden that you have been carrying soaring away from you. You should feel uplifted and relieved as the balloon moves away from you. It's fine if it pops while you're watching it.

Remain there until the incense burns down. Ground the power that you raised, and clean up.

Afterward

Whenever something reminds you of your one big thing, recall the sight of that balloon soaring away from you. Remember that this thing no longer has anything to do with you, and rejoice in your freedom from it.
