This press is interesting in that it is a Cincinnati Type Foundry "Flags and Cannons" Washington press, but it has a badge indicating that it was sold by Franklin Type Foundry. We are not certain if Franklin Type Foundry cast their own presses, or if they were only a distributer. It is also possible that they were selling refurbished, used presses made by other firms.
The only other known Franklin Type Foundry Press is the one in the collection of the Cincinnati Type & Print Museum.
