Washington hand press, manufactured by C. Foster and Brother, Cincinnati, Ohio. Serial Number 474.
Acquired by the Center for Sacramento History in 1982, gift of Eleanor McClatchy, who had previously acquired the press from San Francisco printer Edwin Grabhorn.
This press is in the collection of the Center for Sacramento History, and it is currently on display at the Sacramento History Museum.
Since 2020, this press can often be seen in the Sacramento History Museum's viral TikTok videos featuring "Howard the Printer."
