When patrolling normally, you can wear any outfit you want as long as it is within the clothing guidelines for normal CID. When in RP, you must wear a formal suit to appear more professional. An example of outfits you can wear can be found on the left-hand side of the handbook. The outfit must be authorised by a Detective Inspector+ if you are a Detective Sergeant.

NOTE: Hat 7 (P) and Vest 23 are mandatory when patrolling as a marked detective.

As a marked detective, you should be gathering closer intel in situations which can help build more intel forms and better quality of intel from situations overall.  You may attend interrogations, when strictly wearing a mask, this is a must, to conceal your identity. Marked Detectives role at an interrogation will be to strictly take notes, and learn as much as possible from the suspect. This will further your ability to produce warrants and additional operations.

As a marked detective your equipment should stay the same as CID. 

• Glock-17 (A whitelisted pistol may be substituted for this pistol)

• Remington 870 (A whitelisted shotgun may be substituted for this shotgun and it must be brought out using RP)

• SMG Trained Marked Detectives can bring an SMG (SMGs must be brought out using RP)

• Police Baton 

• Taser 

• Drone (/drone)

• Police Camera (/policecamera)

• Civilian radio (This can be substituted and/or carried alongside an emergency radio but it is suggested that you carry a civ radio)
