Petitioning

If you would like to compete one level lower in your secondary role in WSDC Jack and Jill's, you can make the case by petitioning at each event. Each event has its own process, but many use WSDC's Petition Form. When filling out the form, be sure to state how many points you have in each role, and your reason for petitioning.

For example, "I have 16 Intermediate points as a leader, but only 2 Novice points as a follower. I do not believe that I am an Intermediate level follower, and would like to petition to dance in Novice as a follower."

Best sure to check the cut-off deadlines for petitions at each event. Some events cut off petitions a few days before the competition, whereas others only allow petitions at the door.
