With the exception of the NASDE Showcase and Classic divisions, each individual event director has the authority to decide whether its competition divisions are role-based or gender-restricted.
Currently, 70% of events globally and 85% in the US and Canada allow dancers to choose their role in Jack and Jill's. You can find out which event directors have decided to keep gender restrictions by clicking here.
