Artwork by Anthony Ching
This design was issued once in 2025 on a white-shirt.
Artwork by Maanas Kollegal, Brian Gao & Jeremy Alexander
The idea for the donkey-knight design was pitched by Jeremy as a nod to the ecological diversity of Riverside County’s wild habitat. Brian & Manaas commissioned the design and later modified it to ensure it met ASUCR funding requirements. The image also serves as an appeal to the inclusivity of our diverse community.
This design was issued once on the backside of the 2025 t-shirt.
This design was issued in December 2020 and distributed to those who had participated in the All Star Tournament, the culminating event of our 2020 online chess season.
Special thanks to David Wong for working with ASUCR and overseeing this project amidst the COVID-19 pademic!
Artwork by Michael Tang (Class of 2020)

Shout out to Michal Tang for creating this by hand!

Here is the original rendition of Michael Tang's artwork from 2018:
The original printing costs were extraordinarily expensive until the drawings were redone with only one shade of blue (see below).
In honor of Michael's vision, here are some additional outtakes of Highlander themed chess pieces.
