Playdate at the Warehouse

Join us the first Friday of every month at our winter warehouse location between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. Get the kids together to play while the homeschooling moms chat. Bring a snack for your kids or one to share. Come at whatever time works for you and stay for as long or as short as you can. We hope to see you there!

New Jersey State Museum Planetarium Program

Earth, Moon and Sun

This is the museum's most popular show! Discover Earth’s place in the universe, and the patterns in the motion of sun, moon and stars with the help of clever animated Coyote.

If you wish, pack a lunch and come at 11:30pm to eat together in the cafeteria.

The planetarium program runs from 1pm to 1:45pm. The museum requests that we arrive arrive by 12:30pm at the latest.

After the program, feel free to explore the museum. The fee that you pay for the planetarium program includes museum access. The museum is open from 9am to 4:45pm.

Parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the museum. Street parking is also available.

Biology Workshop

Karen Spicer will be teaching us about the anatomy and physiology of frogs. She will guide us through a dissection of frog specimens. (One frog specimen will be provided for every 2 children.)

The program runs from 1pm to 2:30pm

Pack a lunch and come early at 12pm if you would like.

There will be a preschool program held at the same time for any children who are not participating in the biology workshop.

Art Workshop: The art of collage in the style of Eric Carle

In this art class we will study Eric Carle's work and collage art. We will make our own colored paper using a variety of techniques and then create collage creatures and stories to go along with them.

The program runs from 1pm to 3pm

Feel free to pack a lunch and arrive at 12pm so that we can eat and play together before the workshop.
