One of the most important things that will carry us through this season of homeschooling is support and encouragement from other moms in the trenches of homeschooling their families just like us. We were all created to live in community with others. We all need to be reminded that we are not the only one doing this thing everyday.
Of course you may choose to participate in the CHC without participating in the activities for moms, but you will be missing the opportunity to make connections with some great moms and glean from their collective experience.
Homeschooling can be a lonely occupation. Community is where we receive the inspiration, motivation and renewal of spirit to press on in our journey.
An opportunity once every summer to leave the hustle and bustle of home life behind and escape with your fellow moms to evaluate the last school year and plan for the coming one on a relaxing, kid-free weekend.
A weekend set apart in the middle of the school year designed to revitalize us through the longest part of the winter and the school year. It is a time to relax and get reinvigorated to take on the remainder of the school year.
Designed to inspire, encourage and equip moms to take small, incremental steps toward homemaking and homeschooling well. The series is created with the specific goal of beginning our next school year feeling, and actually being, better prepared than the previous year.
Academic Year Workshops
Designed to keep us motivated through the school year, with an emphasis on troubleshooting as we go, these workshops will focus on more specific how-tos of homeschooling.
Moms' Night Out
Planned occasionally through the year, these nights are casual get-togethers for moms to chat, share refreshments together and occasionally enjoy a planned cooking or craft activity together.
Monthly Moms Support and Prayer Night
One evening per month moms are invited join together to love and support each other through prayer and fellowship.
