HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.
HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions.

Competitive Academic Teams are a great way to showcase knowledge, while simultaneously learning new things and having fun!
Knowledge bowl questions come mainly from academic areas, including social studies, science, language arts, math, humanities, and more.
Quiz bowl includes science, history, literature, geography, current events, pop culture and sports, fine arts, social science, mythology, and more.
Science bowl mainly includes chemistry, physics, biology, earth and space science, energy, and math.

SUMMER Opportunities: Conservation Corps MN & IA
Spring/Summer Youth Positions
Conservation Corps MN & IA offers many positions for youth (age 15 - 18) from learning technical field skills to running community events. If you are interested in serving outdoors this summer, please check out the following opportunities:
Youth Outdoors Programs (April 8th – May 27th): This is an after-school job opportunity for Saint Paul, Ramsey County and Minneapolis teens, ages 15 to 18. During the program you will work outside on a crew of peers to learn more about the environment and complete service projects. You will meet at parks in your neighborhood on Thursdays for 2 hours and Saturdays for 7 hours. Review more details about meeting locations and apply here. Summer Youth Corps: This is our summer residential program. For five weeks, mid-June to mid-August, youth will work on a crew with five other youth and two crew leaders, camp in parks throughout Minnesota, and work to restore natural areas by maintaining and creating trails, removing invasive plants, restoring natural habitat, and completing basic construction projects. Increasing Diversity in Environmental Careers (IDEC)
This is a program open to high school seniors with an interest in natural resources who plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four- year institution in MN this fall and pursue a STEM degree. The IDEC program provides a unique opportunity for underrepresented students, specifically, women, racial or ethnic minorities, and/or individual with disabilities to develop a career path through three components:
Fellowship: The fellowship provides students with a supportive community, yearly academic scholarship, and professional development.
Mentorship: The mentorship aims to enhance college success, encourage personal and professional development, and promote career advancement by pairing fellows with employees at one of the participating state agencies.
Internship: The full-time paid internship, which runs from May to August, allows fellows to learn more about environmental and natural resources career paths through paid, on-the-job experience.
We are actively accepting applications until May 28, 2021 and free online information sessions are offered throughout the application period!
