Oakland Unified Free Meals Programs

If your child is an OUSD student and lives in Oakland, your family is eligible for free meal delivery. It will take generally about 1 week to start receiving the deliveries after you sign up

OUSD offers free meals for families

Every Monday and Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm

  • Social Distancing measures and face coverings are required.

  • Kids do not need to be present to pick up food.

  • Multiple days worth of food can be picked up at once. (Three meals for each weekday, and two meals for each weekend day.)

Northwest/West Oakland: Sankofa Elementary and West Oakland Middle School


Central Oakland: Allendale, Bella Vista, Cleveland, Garfield, La Escuelita and Manzanita SEED/Manzanita Community* Elementary Schools

(*Manzanita location offers pick up on Mondays only)


East Oakland: Bret Harte, Coliseum College Preparatory Academy (CCPA), Elmhurst United, Frick United, and Life Academy/United for Success

Apply for the Pandemic EBT funds here. Deadline June 30 2020

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT benefits. Apply and get up to $365 per child to spend on groceries.


In order to a activate this cards they need to call at 1877328967. They will receive a Pin Number by mail once they call to this number.

Starting April 28, 2020, CalFresh recipients can use their benefits online. SNAP EBT will be available as an online payment method at Amazon (grocery delivery) and Walmart (grocery pick-up) so you can shop online from home.
