Managing Director

The Managing Director is responsible for-

Bench Strength Development:

Provide regular operational coaching with Directors

• Ensure FOH/BOH Directors are coaching Team Leaders and are conducting weekly meetings


Director Oversight:

• Teach Directors Food Cost management strategies and formulas. Manage food cost by keeping a positive gap under

0.5%

• Teach Directors Labor cost strategies and formulas. Manage labor cost to the top 50% of the chain

• Hold Directors accountable to quality and operational standards to meeting customer experience and profitability

goals.

• Consult/coach from knowledge and experience

• Hold Directors accountable to their Team Leader development plans

Operations

• Assess operational systems (ex. DT, FC, Kitchen...etc)

• Provide Rob with insight on Directors (i.e. observed strengths and weaknesses)

• Ensure the continuity of systems (ex. Auditing, snapshot, chicken tracking, lean)

• Systematically monitoring time punches and appropriately documenting all violations/adjustments/errors


Meeting Disciplines:

• Bi-Weekly: Meets with the Director Group

• Opposite Weeks: One on Ones with Directors


Success Factors and Matching Measurements:

How will you know this position has been successful?

We will know the Managing Director is successful upon attaining the following:

• Stay in the top 20% CEM

• Labor Cost Gap at or below 0% and Food Cost Gap at or below .75%

• ROE scores have an average of 90% or above averaged yearly for production environment, above a 87.4% for

customer service environment, 91.9% for service, and above 93.7% for product.

• Bi-weekly mock ROEs, Daily eRQAs

• Effective Leadership Development

Chief People & Projects Officer

The Chief People Officer is Responsible For-

Recruiting and Onboarding - Proactively Seek Out Top Tier Talent:

• Maintaining recruiting platform with Palm Beach Atlantic University

• Know the competition and engage in new initiatives as needed

• Attend recruiting events and seek out new opportunities

• Efficiently manage and track all applications

• Proactively determine the hiring needs of the business

• Develop others for interview opportunities

• Attend events to be the face in the community (ie. Best Interview Ever)

• Significantly alter the performance and competitive advantage of the business

• Organize and lead out in outside leadership candidate interviews, onboarding, etc.

• Human Resources compliance systems and maintenance systems; including:

• Auditing new Team Member files for proper paperwork

• Confirming new Team Member eligibility to work

• Twice annual audits of all Team Member files

• Preparing Department of Labor reports for each payroll period

• Florida Child Labor Law compliance

• Team Engagement and Morale

• Documenting discipline and/or terminations

• Create a People Promise Strategy

• Develop and maintain a remarkable and engaging orientation process

• Develop and oversee a recognition system

• Oversee promotion and leadership development initiatives


Project Leadership- Oversee Major Initiatives on Behalf of the Organization:

• Track and monitor progress on strategic initiatives

• Connect with team to ensure project competition and alert Operator of issues that arise

• Develop and oversee a process for capturing and cataloging key lessons to be learned from initiatives

Executive Administrator

The Executive Administrator is responsible for-

• Managing Operator calendar and schedule

• Create a logical and orderly e-mail filing system

• Schedule appointments around predetermined priorities

• Maintain a system of auto-notification and reminders through email to keep Operator informed of scheduled

appointments

• Office Administration

• Point Person with landlord communication

• Maintain supplies and cleanliness of office space

• Oversee end of month package

• W-2 distribution

• Vacation accruals and vacation pay disbursements

• Vendor receivables and payables, including:

• Timely receipt of all outstanding balances

• Ensuring proper credits for missing products

• Resolving vendor disputes/billing discrepancies

• Managing insurance open enrollment and insurance waivers

• Managing communication with Sedgwick regarding Guest or Team Member incidents

• Maintaining timely and effective communication with Stores Accounting and Treasury

• Maintain community involvement through Paid Volunteer Time

• Create and build relationships with organizations

• Increase Team Member involvement by partnering with organizations the team is passionate about

We will know the Executive Administrator is successful upon attaining the following:

• Operator calendar and schedule is up to date and accurate

• Operator has all needed information prior to meetings and events

• The office space is clean and well maintained

• A community event or drive is held on a monthly basis

• Retention rises due to personal celebrations of each Team Member

• Invoices, bills will be systematic and paid on time

Chief Marketing Officer

The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for-

Bench Strength Development:

• Provide regular operational coaching with Directors on Chick-fil-A One and team marketing initiatives

• Coach and train Catering Leads on execution excellence


Director Oversight:

• Ensure Chick-fil-A One execution and training for all Leaders

• Coaching and mentoring team on Chick-fil-A One updates, initiatives, and guest awareness

• Consult/coach from knowledge and experience

• Ensure catering is leading with excellence

• Oversee and manage school partnerships

• Create and execute in and out of store events

• Leverage visual aids and POP in the store

• Develop new initiatives for upselling and suggestive selling

• Oversee and manage all social media (ie. traffic, content, communications, check-in, promotions)

• Attend all market-wide RMD Meetings

• Communicate campaign updates and adjust accordingly

• Manage exterior reader board

• Manage incoming donation requests and lead with people, food, cows, and influence

• Schedule and communicate outside sale events

• Develop a strategic plan for marketing (including spotlight/Chick-fil-A One, centerstage, catering, drive-thru,

breakfast, social media)

• Initiate fundraiser opportunities and leverage Chick-fil-A One

• Develop Mobile Captain in the restaurants

• Ensure a mobile-centric culture

• Create and send out monthly RRM Newsletters

• Proactively track delivery service sales and promote guest awareness

• Create new community partnerships and maintain existing relationships

• Expand brand awareness to the Hispanic market

Operations

• Assess operational systems (Chick-fil-A One, KPS, Delivery, Deferred, App Updates, Errors)

• Work in operations as needed

• Ensure the continuity of systems (ex. curbside, mobile carryout, mobile in the drive thru, spirit nights, events)
