Similar to the UN Biodiversity Twitter account, the YouTube channel has a dual audience. Live events and webinars hosted on the channel primarily target CBD insiders, while videos published on the platform may appeal to both specialist and general audiences.
Activity on the platform varies significantly, depending on the number of videos produced and the number of webinars and other events organized. However, posting on a regular basis will keep the platform active and subscribers engaged. Videos produced for other social media channels can be published on YouTube as well as longer-format videos.
Sample content types for this platform:
Videos produced for social media purposes
Longer-format videos
Executive Secretary video messages
Webcasts of CBD meetings, events and webinars

Webcasting of events is organized by the IT team. Contact Fred and/or Vince for information on webcasts, to initiate webcasting and to ensure that live events are connected to the vanity url, http://cbd.int/live. This URL should redirect to any current live event. If no live event is taking place, it should redirect to a list of upcoming events or to a recording of he most recent webcast.
