Rockwood Earth Lodge is situated in the Champagne Valley, in the Central Drakensberg of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is located near the famous Drakensburg Boys Choir School. Rockwood Earth Lodge is a unique getaway home graced by Magnificent Views of Cathkin Peak.
Dating back to the turn of the Century the main house offers a fully equipped home from home sleeping six people. DSTV is provided along with games for the kids, darts and a pool table. The Rockwood Earth Lodge House also boasts a wrap around veranda with braai facilities, a Dutch oven and a twelve seater sleeper wood table .
In the Shadow of the Drakensberg Mountains is a Majestic Rock Pool set amidst a beautiful Indigenous Garden. The Cellar Unit also a fully equipped self-catering unit which sleeps two adults and provides a sleeper couch for additional guests. It has braai facilities .
Our fully equippped self catering Earth Lodge also known as the Rock Cave is a romantic getaway for two surrounded by indigenous gardens with views over the pool and surrounding Cathkin Peak. A sunken braai is on hand providing an intimate night under the riot of stars that the Drakensberg is renown for.
Rockwood Earthlodge can also accomodate bigger groups of up to twelve people.The surrounding area has numerous restaurants, shops, a petrol station and activities like the famous Canopy Tours, horseback outings , hiking, zip lines, hot air balloning etc which are all days outings.
