Use the cottage as a base for all your Central Drakensberg activities, or just unwind in the treed garden, enjoying the views, pool and abundant birdlife. Nights can be spent indoors in front of the fireplace or TV, or outside around the braai, listening to the crickets and frogs. The most rewarding way to enjoy a night, though, must surely be around a bonfire in the fire pit, gazing deep into the flames or high up above at the sea of stars.
Facilities:
Lily Cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds - all with ample cupboard space. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The bathrooms offer the choice of a shower or bath, and there is an outside shower with hot water. The cosy lounge has a built-in wood fireplace and hotel bouquet DSTV. The cottage has its own entrance and is secured with a manual gate. The main house has a swimming pool which is available for use at any time.
Lily Cottage is just a 4 hour drive from Johannesburg and a 3 hour drive from Durban, making it well within reach for a long weekend. Take your time when you travel, enjoy the drive and be safe. In the last million years the mountains have only moved an inch so it's safe to say they're not going anywhere.
