Have Fun With Us in Mini 4-H!
Mini 4-H is a program designed for youth in 2nd grade. In addition to the projects shown below, Mini 4-H'ers have 3 special Saturdays planned for them to come and have fun with their friends while making something from each project. Note: Mini 4-H'ers participating in a mini livestock project and remote truck can show an animal at the fair or remote truck in the truck pull if parents sign a Mini Release Form and the mini 4-H'ers work with a mentor.

Mini 4-H Projects include:
All About Me - Learn about your family history. Assemble a first aid kit.
Animals (Beef, Goat, Horse, Lama, Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep and Swine)
Work with an older 4-H'er to learn about their animal and show it at the fair with their help. Or,
Make a poster about the animal.
Arts, Crafts & Models
Bicycle - Participate in the Bicycle Rodeo or exhibit a poster on bicycles.
Bugs - Design and make a bug or exhibit a poster about bugs.
Collections - Exhibit 5 items that you collected this year.
Dinosaurs - Make a model of your favorite dinosaur or share fossil imprints.
Dogs - Make a poster about dogs: breeds, caring, or showing. Or, display items needed for grooming.
Flower / Garden - Display 3 blooms, a houseplant or a plate of vegetables that you grew.
Foods - Make a non-perishable snack (cookies or granola) or a poster about "My Plate" or another food topic.
Forestry - Visit a lumberyard and learn about different types of wood. Or, share a collection of items you found in the forest.
Recycling - Make a can crusher, recycled paper or a poster about recycling.
Remote Truck - Work with an older 4-H'er and show their remote truck at the fair or make a poster about remote trucks (parts, how to pull, etc.).
Robotics - Use a kit to make a robot.
Sewing - Make a sewing kit. Hand sew a cat magnet. Sew a pillow.
Space - Make a rocket. Learn about the solar system. Make a poster on something you learned about space or astronauts.
Trees - Collect and identify leaves. Make leaf rubbings. Share leaf prints.
Weather - Use a kit to make a weather station or create a poster on a weather topic.
