Animal Science including Animal Education (Animal Posters)


Carroll Co. offers 11 different animal projects.  If  you don't own an animal, you can also learn about a favorite type of animal and share this information on a poster.  Note:  When signing up for Animal Posters, you will sign up for Animal Education.  By May 15th, you will select which species you will talk about on your poster.  You may do more than one species. 



Plus, dairy cattle, horses and llamas / alpacas can be leased to be shown. Click here for animal lease agreement form.


Beef

4-H’ers learn to care for their animal. They learn how to select a calf based on its characteristics. They also learn about feed rations, training, grooming the calf properly, and evaluating the efficiency of the animal.
