If you have somewhere that cannot be closed down (say a 24 hour hotel lobby) or where too much moisture can wreak havoc (e.g. a server room), then this is the system for you.
Your carpet is left dry… which means you could have your carpet cleaned in the afternoon and still have the furniture back in place for a dinner party at seven. Imagine how your guests will admire your newly cleaned, fresh smelling carpet
The idea itself is donkeys’ years old (more about this later) but modern science has really produced the goods.
Scientists have come up with a way of getting a tiny amount of moisture into the cleaning process without causing problems. So how do they do it?
The cleaning compound is made from tiny natural (cellulose) sponges. These are impregnated with a mild, gentle cleaning solution. If you touch these sponges they feel slightly damp.
They look just like crushed up cornflakes!
These are spread over the carpet (or individual stain). These are then brushed through the carpet pile with the HOST machine. This has two contra rotating brushes which massage the sponges through the fibres.

The sponges dissolve the dirt and then absorb it (you can see them change colour from yellow to dark brown as they shift the stain).
When they have dried out (usually 20-30 minutes), you vacuum them up and that’s the job done.
People can walk across the carpet all through the cleaning process so you do not need to close that areas down. If you use it in houses, you can replace all the furniture straightaway (and it picks the pile up beautifully).
