Each summer, dedicated young men and women come together to lead, mentor, and serve campers in a Christ-centered, fun, and safe environment. Being a part of the Camp Meribah Staff is more than just a summer job—it’s an opportunity to grow spiritually, develop leadership skills, and make an eternal impact on the lives of young people.

Each member of our staff plays a unique and important role in creating an unforgettable camp experience. Below are the primary staff positions at Camp Meribah:
Primary Role: Directly supervise and mentor campers.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily devotionals and Bible studies in the cabins.
Supervise campers during activities, meals, and free time.
Encourage and set a positive Christian example.
Handle camper concerns, homesickness, and behavior issues.
Primary Role: Organize games, assist with activities, and support camp operations.
Responsibilities:
Set up and lead team games, activities, and camp-wide events.
Ensure sportsmanship and fun in all competitions.
Assist with behind-the-scenes logistics to keep camp running smoothly.
Help prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Maintain a clean and safe dining area.
Assist with inventory, stocking, and dishwashing.
Primary Role: Oversee first aid, administer daily medications, and communicate with parents regarding health concerns.
Responsibilities:
Provide basic first aid for minor injuries and illnesses.
Administer daily camper medications as provided by parents.
Contact parents if a camper becomes sick or needs further medical care.
Maintain accurate health records for all campers.
We take the responsibility of hiring staff very seriously to ensure Camp Meribah remains a safe and spiritually uplifting place for campers.
Be actively involved in a church congregation (First preference is given to members of the Centerville Church of Christ).
Have completed at least their freshman year of high school.
Demonstrate a strong Christian character and a willingness to serve.
Commit to the entire length of the camp session you are hired for.
Unlike other camps, we do not offer online applications. Staff must personally pick up an application from the Centerville Church of Christ and meet with the Camp Director prior to applying.
All staff must attend mandatory pre-camp training to prepare for their roles. Our training is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make camp safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching for everyone.

*Failure to attend required training may result in dismissal from the staff team.
At Camp Meribah, our staff members are spiritual leaders, mentors, and role models. We have high expectations for those who serve in our camp ministry.
All Staff Must:
Model Christian behavior and a strong work ethic.
Follow the camp dress code and maintain modesty in appearance.
Be fully present—cell phones should not be used during camp activities.
Encourage a positive, uplifting, and respectful environment.
No exclusive relationships with campers or staff members during camp.
Handle all disciplinary situations with patience, wisdom, and Christ-like love.
*Any violation of camp policies may result in immediate dismissal from staff duties.
Camp Meribah values staff members who take the initiative in seeking out the opportunity to serve. Unlike many camps, we do not offer online applications. Instead, all interested applicants must:
Step 1: Pick Up an Application
Applications are only available in person at the Centerville Church of Christ.
Step 2: Submit Completed Application To The Director
Applications must be completed and returned by the deadline set by the Director (March 30, 2025).
Step 3: Attend Mandatory Staff Training
Once accepted, staff must attend all required training sessions before camp begins.
Camp Meribah relies on dedicated volunteers who generously give their time and talents to make camp a success. If you are interested in helping in a specific area but cannot commit to a full-time staff role, consider volunteering in one of the following areas:
Assist with preparing and serving meals. Volunteers help in the kitchen, ensuring campers receive hot, nutritious food each day.
Assist with organizing supplies, preparing activities, and keeping camp running smoothly. Perfect for those who enjoy behind-the-scenes work!
Assist with one-time events like campfire nights, awards ceremonies, or evening devotionals. A great way to be involved without a full-time commitment.
Help with basic maintenance, setup, or cleaning tasks around camp. Perfect for those who want to support camp in a hands-on way!
Lead a devotional or assist with worship. If you have a passion for teaching God’s Word, we welcome guest speakers to share lessons and encouragement with campers.
