Since 1969, Camp Meribah has been a place where young people grow in their faith, build lifelong friendships, and create unforgettable memories. Nestled in Centerville, Tennessee, our camp provides an opportunity for students to step away from distractions, connect with God, and experience the joy of Christian fellowship.
Unlike many camps, Camp Meribah exists solely because of the generosity of people who believe in investing in young lives. Every cabin, activity space, and tradition has been built upon the selfless donations of individuals and families who are passionate about creating a space for youth to experience God. Their love and commitment have helped shape Camp Meribah into the thriving ministry it is today.
Owned and operated by the Centerville Church of Christ, our camp continues to fulfill its original mission—to help campers unplug from the world and focus on their faith, relationships, and personal growth.
We believe that camp is more than just fun—it is life-shaping. Many campers take important steps in their faith journey here, deepening their understanding of God's Word and strengthening their commitment to Christ. Some leave camp with a renewed dedication to living faithfully, while others begin considering their own obedience to the Gospel and the decision to be baptized.
Camp Meribah is also a place where lifelong friendships are formed—friendships that provide encouragement, accountability, and spiritual growth long after camp ends. For many, Camp Meribah becomes a second home, a place where they feel welcomed, encouraged, and deeply loved by a community that shares their faith.
Three core pillars guide everything we do at Camp Meribah.
FAITH
Every day at camp is filled with meaningful devotionals, worship, and Bible lessons designed to strengthen each camper’s walk with Christ. Our goal is to encourage students to explore their faith, ask questions, and grow spiritually in a supportive and uplifting environment.
FELLOWSHIP
From team competitions to cabin devotionals, we believe that camp is about building relationships that last beyond the summer. Campers come from different backgrounds, but by the end of the week, they leave with lifelong friendships and a sense of belonging.
FUN
At Camp Meribah, we believe that Christian fun is the best fun! Whether it’s team games, creek adventures, campfire nights, or late-night activities, every moment is designed to create joy, laughter, and lasting memories.
A Christ-centered environment that strengthens faith.
Exciting outdoor activities like swimming, creek time, team games, and theme nights.
A safe and encouraging atmosphere with trained counselors and staff.
A place where friendships and faith grow together.

Since 2021, Ashley Halliburton has served as the Kitchen Director at Camp Meribah, ensuring that every camper and staff member is well-fed with delicious, home-cooked meals. But Ashley’s role goes far beyond the kitchen—her dedication to camp is a ministry of service, love, and hospitality.
Ashley is responsible for:
✔ Planning nutritious and camper-friendly meals
✔ Shopping for ingredients and supplies
✔ Organizing and leading kitchen volunteers
✔ Overseeing meal preparation and food service
However, Ashley is much more than just a cook—she is a true part of the Camp Meribah family. Whether she’s playing games with campers, lending a helping hand, or staying long after meals to enjoy time with the kids, her heart for camp and its mission is evident in everything she does.
Ashley has extensive experience cooking for campers with dietary restrictions, as her own husband and children have food allergies and special dietary needs. She takes extra care to ensure that every camper has safe, nutritious, and delicious meals, no matter their restrictions. Parents can rest assured that food allergies and special diets are taken seriously under Ashley’s leadership.
Her husband, Matthew Halliburton, also plays a vital role at Camp Meribah. While working full-time for Coca-Cola, he generously dedicates his free time to keeping camp running smoothly—handling air conditioning repairs, refrigeration maintenance, and all-around handyman work.
Together, Ashley and Matthew embody what it means to serve, making Camp Meribah a welcoming, comfortable, and nourishing place—both physically and spiritually.
