At Camp Meribah, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment where campers can grow in faith, fellowship, and fun. To ensure the best experience for all, we expect every camper to follow this Code of Conduct throughout their time at camp.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from camp without a refund.

Treat fellow campers, counselors, and staff with kindness and respect.
Listen and follow counselors' and staff instructions at all times.
Respect others’ personal space, belongings, and feelings.
Use appropriate language—no bullying, profanity, or offensive jokes.
Not Allowed:
Bullying, name-calling, or excluding others.
Fighting, pushing, or aggressive behavior.
Gossiping, spreading rumors, or harassment of any kind.
Bullying of any form will not be tolerated.
Keep campgrounds, cabins, and facilities clean and undamaged.
Use camp equipment responsibly and return items after use.
Respect wildlife and nature—no littering, vandalism, or destruction of trees/plants.
Not Allowed:
Writing on or defacing camp property.
Throwing rocks, damaging trees, or harming animals.
Bringing personal sports equipment or electronics without permission.
Campers are responsible for any damage they cause to camp property.
Participate in all scheduled activities and remain with your assigned group.
Show sportsmanship during games and competitions.
Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to try new things.
Attend all devotionals and Bible classes with a respectful mindset.
Not Allowed:
Disrupting Bible studies or devotionals.
Encouraging others to skip activities or break rules.
Camp is more fun when everyone gets involved!
Respect your bunkmates and cabin leaders—everyone deserves a restful environment.
Keep your personal space clean and organized.
Follow "Lights Out" rules and respect quiet hours.
Only enter your assigned cabin—respect others' privacy.
Not Allowed:
Visiting cabins of the opposite gender.
Staying up past Lights Out without the counselor's permission.
Playing pranks that are disruptive or harmful.
Cabins should be a safe, comfortable place for all campers.
Day Camp, Mini-Meribah, and Youth Week: Phones and electronic devices are not allowed.
Teen Week: Phones are allowed but may only be used in cabins during designated times.
Campers are responsible for what they post and share online.
All photos and videos taken at camp should be appropriate and respectful.
Not Allowed:
Phones in public areas (except for Teen Week in designated times).
Taking photos or videos where others may be changing.
Posting inappropriate content related to camp.
Camp is a time to unplug! We encourage campers to focus on in-person connections.
Follow all safety instructions from counselors and staff.
Wear appropriate attire for all activities (closed-toe shoes for games, modest swimwear, etc.).
Stay within designated camp areas—no leaving campgrounds without permission.
Report any injuries, concerns, or rule violations to a counselor or staff member immediately.
Not Allowed:
Running away or leaving camp boundaries.
Roughhousing or unsafe behavior during activities.
Ignoring safety rules at the creek, on campus, or in cabins.
Safety is our top priority!
Absolutely Not Allowed at Camp:
Alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, or illegal substances.
Weapons, fireworks, or dangerous items.
Inappropriate books, magazines, or media.
Personal sports equipment without approval.
Possession of prohibited items may result in immediate dismissal from camp.
Be a Christ-like example to others through your actions and words.
Encourage and support fellow campers in their faith journey.
Participate fully in worship, devotionals, and Bible studies.
Treat others with grace, patience, and love as Christ teaches.
Camp Meribah is a place to grow in faith, have fun, and build lifelong friendships. Let’s make it a great experience for everyone!
Campers who violate the Code of Conduct will receive appropriate consequences based on the situation. These may include:
Verbal warning from a counselor or staff member.
Loss of privileges (e.g., sitting out of an activity).
Meeting with the Camp Director and a call home.
Immediate dismissal from camp (for serious offenses, no refund).
Campers sent home for misconduct will not receive a refund.
By attending Camp Meribah, all campers agree to follow these rules and respect others. Parents, please review this Code of Conduct with your camper before arrival.
