The last cabin was swept out, and the final piece of equipment was packed away for next summer—marking the official close of Camp Meribah 2025. This year was a milestone for us in many ways. With four sessions and over 400 campers, staff, and volunteers, it was the largest and most impactful summer since Shelby and I began directing.

Our theme, "Believe," was drawn from Jesus’ words in John 20:29:

"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Throughout the summer, we invited our campers to explore what it truly means to believe in God—not just in His existence, but in His promises, His timing, and His love. We studied the lives of faithful men like Abraham, Peter, Noah, and the Roman Centurion, using their stories to illustrate the courage and trust it takes to live a life of faith.

And God was at work.

Through powerful devotionals, meaningful conversations, creekside moments, and time in worship, we witnessed lives being transformed. Eleven campers made the decision to put on Christ in baptism, and many others left camp with a renewed desire to follow Him more closely. The spiritual impact of this summer will continue to ripple through families and congregations for years to come.

We are especially thankful for our 33 dedicated staff members who served tirelessly all summer long. From counselors and teachers to kitchen workers and game leaders, their Christ-like example created an environment rooted in Camp Meribah’s three pillars: Faith, Fellowship, and Fun. They are the reason camp feels like home.

Personally, serving as Director of Camp Meribah is one of the greatest honors of my life. This camp changed me as a child, and it continues to shape me as a minister, husband, and father. Watching my own children fall in love with camp has only deepened my gratitude for this place and its mission.

Looking ahead, we are excited for what’s to come. Plans are already in motion for next summer—including new activities, new bathhouses, and even a brand-new session for our youngest campers. A new season is on the horizon, and we cannot wait to see what God will do next.

For now, we give thanks. We reflect. And we give all glory to God, who continues to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.
