This year-long course is an in-depth look into the practices and trends in the agricultural science industries. Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to, animal science, plant science, food science, environmental and natural resource science, and current event in the agriculture/natural resource industries.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate appropriate record keeping practices.
Understand important agricultural events in history.
Demonstrate proper animal handling and welfare practices.
Describe tools and products used in food industries.
Discuss issues facing the agricultural/natural resources industries
Explore the careers that are available in agricultural sciences.
Describe human impacts on agriculture and natural resources.
Understand plant systems and plant growth.
