NORTHERN WYOMING - DIVISION 14
On April 18 four members of the CWMRA Club and three members of the SMRA Club drove to North Platte, NE to attend the annual train show held in that city. It rained heavily on the trip to North Platte making side trips on paved roads to interesting rail sites impossible, ruining half the fun of a road trip. The next day, part of the activities was a guided tour of the UP Diesel Shops. Then it was out to UP’s Bailey Yard to watch the activities from the observation tower. The return trip back though Cheyenne was uneventful because that was the day after the BIG SNOW STORM. However, we did see several UP freights actually moving.

May 2 was our annual spring meeting hosted by the CWMRA in Casper. A guided tour though the old CB&Q brick depot at Casper had been arranged for our morning activities.

The afternoon was filled with a fun operating session on Kurt Brown’s CB&Q Wyoming Div. home layout.

The annual fall meeting will be in September 19 at Sheridan hosted by the SMRA Club. A program is under negotiation at present. Namely, we do not have any ideas for what to do for any clinics.
Our fall activities will be an Open House at the SMRA Club in Sheridan on November 21. The CWMRA Club in Casper will hold their Open House on November 27, 28 and 29. They will also put on their annual Train Presentation at the Casper Trail Center during the December weekends. Please contact the local superintendents for times that these activities will occur.
