International Thespian Society – Troupe 2903

Sponsored by the Educational Theatre Association, the International Thespian Society has been honoring the outstanding work of theatre students since 1929. Buena’s Troupe #2903 was chartered in 1978. The International Thespian Society is an Honor Society that recognizes excellence among theatre students and promotes the arts as a tool for lifelong learning. Troupe #2903 is a student-led organization where members strive to share their love of theatre and work to promote the arts in the community.
All Thespian meetings and events are open, everyone is welcome to attend and see what we do. We accept applications every fall and spring.

“Seeing is believing..."
Buena Fine Arts Productions is an extracurricular component of the Theatre Arts program at Buena High School. BFAP focuses on the performing arts and is dedicated to creating opportunities for students to participate in live productions. The organization attracts students interested in the performing arts, including those involved in band, choir, and theatre. However, all productions are open to any interested member of the student body.
Students take on various roles in productions, fostering a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work and the program. Buena Fine Arts Productions stages at least five shows each year, with all funding generated solely through ticket sales and student contributions.

The Klein Center for the Arts is proudly home to Buena Fine Arts Productions. Each year performances include:

On stage –Buena’s musical variety show, a Sierra Vista tradition, produced each year since 1975.

Buena CTE offers a hands-on, industry-focused training program in production technology.
Critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity—essential skills in the 21st-century workplace—are at the core of study in the Production Arts.
Tech Theatre students at Buena High School develop the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve real-world production challenges using state-of-the-art equipment through hands-on application and direct instruction.
Production Tech builds on its Fine Arts connections and roots to create a space where technology meets art. Its corresponding student organization provides opportunities for service learning and competitions.
