At 5th Kup level you must learn and be able to demonstrate 2 Step Sparring numbers 1 to 4.
Attacking and Defending
The attacker starts by making a forearm guarding block with right leg back in L stance and makes a kihap.
The defender, in parallel ready stance, then kihaps back to show they are ready to begin.
Number 1
Attacker: Move your right leg forward into walking stance, make a high section obverse punch.
Defender: Move your right leg back into walking stance, make a forearm rising block.
Attacker: Make a low front snap kick (Ap Cha Busigi) with your left leg, land left leg forward in walkingstance.
Defender: Move your left leg back into walking stance, make a X fist pressing block (Kyocha Joomuk NoolloMakgi). To counter make a twin vertical punch (Sang Sewo Jirugi) to your opponent’s face.
Number 2
Attacker: Move your right leg forward into fixed stance, make a side punch (Yop Jirugi).
Defender: Move your right leg back into L stance, make an upward palm block (Sonbadak Ollyo Makgi).
Attacker: Make a turning kick with your left leg, land left leg forward in walking stance.
Defender: Move your left leg back into L stance, make an outer forearm waist block (Bakat Palmock HoriMakgi) with your right arm. To counter slide your right leg forward and make a side elbow thrust (YopPalkup Tulgi) to your opponent’s abdomen.
Number 3
Attacker: Make a front kick with your right leg, land right leg forward in walking stance.
Defender: Move your right leg back into walking stance, make a X fist pressing block.
Attacker: Move your left leg forward into walking stance, make a twin vertical punch.
Defender: Move your left leg back into walking stance, make an outer forearm wedging block. To counter make a left knee kick (Moorup Chagi) to your opponent’s solar plexus, as you make the kick pull your opponents shoulders forwards and downwards. Land left leg back in L stance, guard up.
Number 4
Attacker: Move your right leg forward into walking stance, make a flat fingertip thrust (Opun Sonkut Tulgi).
Defender: Move your right leg back into walking stance, make a knifehand rising block.
Attacker: With your left leg make a side kick.
Defender: Move your left leg back into L stance, make an inward palm block. To counter make a front snapkick with your right leg to your opponent’s coccyx, land in walking stance and make a twin upset punch (Sang Dwijibo Jirugi) towards your opponent’s kidneys.
Start in position X facing toward A in Parallel ready stance.
Move left foot to C facing A in sitting stance with left focus punch.
Stay in the same stance and change to right middle punch.
Stay in the same stance and change to left middle punch.
Move left foot to right then right foot to D facing A in sitting stance with right focus punch.
Stay in the same stance and change to left middle punch.
Stay in the same stance and change to right middle punch.
Move right foot toward H in walking stance with right high inner forearm block.
With the left leg execute a low front snap kick.
Land left foot in front into walking stance with left middle punch.
Stay in the same stance, right middle punch.
Move left foot toward G in walking stance with left high inner forearm block.
With the right leg execute a low front snap kick.
Land right foot in front into walking stance with right middle punch.
Stay in the same stance, left middle punch.
Move right foot toward A in walking stance with right high hooking block.
Stay in the same stance, left high hooking block.
Stay in the same stance, right middle punch.
Step forward in walking stance with left high hooking block.
Stay in the same stance, right high hooking block.

Bring left foot up into bending ready stance.
Execute a left mid section side kick toward A.
Land left foot toward A in walking stance, perform right elbow strike to your left palm.
Slide left foot in line with right foot (along line FE) and bring right foot up into bending ready stance.
Execute a right mid section side kick toward B.
Land right foot toward B in walking stance, perform left elbow strike to your right palm.
Move left foot to face F in L stance with twin knifehand block.
Step forward in walking stance with right straight fingertip thrust.
Turn 180 right to face E in L stance with twin knifehand block.
Step forward in walking stance with left straight fingertip thrust.
Turn 90 left to face B in walking stance with left high outer forearm block.
Stay in the same stance, right middle punch.
Step forward in walking stance with right high outer forearm block.
Stay in the same stance, left middle punch.
Jump toward B landing in X stance with left high backfist strike to D.
Turn 270 right to face D in walking stance with high double forearm block.
