Timothy Salzman retired in June 2025 after 37 years at the University of Washington. His retirement concert featured an alumni band with a performance of the first movement of David Maslanka’s Symphony No. 7. 

Erin Bodnar is the Visiting Associate Professor of Music and Director of Concert Bands for 2025-2026. 

Composers Simon Alami and Ryan Lindveit will visit UW for residencies in March and April, respectively. Bass trombonist, Eden Garcia (Seattle Symphony and UW faculty) will perform Wim Bex’s Vademecum with the UW Wind Ensemble in June. 

The Husky Marching Band traveled to the LA Bowl to support the team.
