At UMN-TC, we are:

1. In a search for an Assistant Director of Bands, Associate Director of Athletic Bands. We are grateful to Dr. Emmanuel Rodriguez for serving as our Interim Associate Director of Athletic Bands this academic year,

2. Celebrating the tenure, impact, and career of Professor Jerry Luckhardt, Associate Director of Bands who will be retiring in May 2026 (retirement celebration is Sunday, April 12 in Minneapolis),

3. Are planning a Bowl Trip and will have more information on where after December 7th,

4. Excited to host Eighth Blackbird on campus for a SOM residency and at our Minnesota Music Educators Association midwinter convention, and 

5. Thrilled to have welcome Chad Smith with our Marching Band for a halftime show featuring songs of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the fall.
