University of Oregon

The University of Oregon Bands have had a wonderful year kicking off with an 8-day residency in Costa Rica in May of 2025 with 5 performances and side-by-side performances with the University of Costa Rica San Jose and La Banda de Conciertos de San Jose. This year, we welcomed to the staff two new Masters graduate students Jerdil Castillo and Adrian To, and welcomed back 2nd year Masters student Shaina Natividad. 

The Oregon Marching Band has been busy after wonderful performances throughout the season and are getting ready to host the first round of the football playoffs on December 20th. 

In January, the Oregon Wind Ensemble will host guest soloist Megumi Kanda of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for a 3-day residency. Later in the year, the Wind Ensemble will feature two faculty artists, engage on a two-day recruiting tour of Oregon, welcome composer James Meissner to campus for the world premiere of Sharp 9, and host Jason Fettig for our conducting workshop in May.
