In this class, I learned about all the characteristics and qualities that make fibers desirable in a finished fabric!
I completed vocabulary assignments for each chapter, conducted various fabric labs to identify fabric types, presented on two fibers of my choice, and completed a swatch book for future reference. I also researched how fabric can relate to my own ancestors and wrote a Heritage Paper, and for the final project, completed the Fiber to Finish assignment. For this, I got to spin, ply, knit, and dye wool fiber, resulting in a finished "fabric" piece of my own making.
