Project-based learning is a teaching method teachers use to promote student learning using real-world problems and personally meaningful projects. The students become directors and managers of their own learning process which are guided and mentored by the teacher. Students will work on a project over a period of time that helps them solve a real-world problem. With this, they develop deep content knowledge along with collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Hyperdocs help brings the lesson to life. Students use the hyperdoc to help learn a lesson at their pace watching videos, talking to others, and creating projects that help them show in the end they have mastered the skills for that standard. These are important because it help keep motivation to learn and create connections with what they are learning to things outside the classroom.
I feel like I struggle with this one a bit more in making sure all needs were met. I took my passion for Legos and really had to think of a way to approach the lesson. I thought I did great making the hyperdoc but I really need to work on the PBL page. I would definitely recommend this to other teachers and plan to use it more myself as I get the hang of it. Not only does this give you and another teacher a break from teaching from the front of the class, but it also gives students a chance to learn how to take charge of their learning. I look forward to using this again.
