A digital assessment is the presentation of evidence using technology for judging or assessing where your students are in the unit you are teaching. This provide insight to how much they are learning and remembering what it is you taught. It is important to know where they are in their learning so if you see either a student or a group of kids is struggling you can go back and do another lesson on it so they can understand the material taught. Also it is important to them because it gives them another way to show you, they know and grasp the concept learned in class.
I have used Kahoot over the years in other classes or just for fun. This is not a hard assessment game to use or set up. It is quick and can get everyone engaged to play. I believe there are pros and cons to using this. They see it as a fun way to learn and think it is a game. But for struggling students, may be discouraged if they never see their name at the top. I wish they had a group option so they could work as a team as well as individually so I can gauge them both ways. But I do recommend using this game as well as other games to help assess students in the classroom. This game is great to use but always switch up the kind of game so if you have students who struggle they do not come to hate playing it
