Teacher’s Guide created with -- Jalyn Johnson, Joelyn Meraz-Arreola
Where do I start? All four Ps are so important to creating a learning and creative environment for all students, parents, and teachers alike. With lifelong kindergarten kids are learning the critical thinking skills they mee to succeed in today’s society. This allows them to create and think outside the box. With Scratch, kids have a platform where they can create stories, games, animations as well as ideas to create things that help others. The learning spiral helps with this. They are imagining ideas to share, creating, and playing with those ideas, and reflecting on anything that went wrong so they can tackle it again. This cycle shows them that just because something didn’t work the first time they need to keep trying.
I have much to work on. Getting the information was the easy part but knowing what it was and how to piece it in the document when you have never done it before really confuses you. I am proud that I learned how to do the columns and change the color of the paper. Even small things like that make a world of a difference because it means I am learning something new. I do want to learn how to make complex guides that looked like the ones the teacher used as examples. This would be cool so I can make cool projects with same set up and background. Overall I would recommend all of what we learned in class to all classmates and colleges. The more they know and the more they can open their mind to new things the more the students benefit from it in the classroom.
