Through serving as the Project Assistant for the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE), I used this as an opportunity to coordinate new and exciting events, start a blog series, and launch a podcast. Among the milestones of my WISCAPE experience are the following:
- Establishing "This Just Published," a WISCAPE blog series that highlighted recently-published higher education journal articles; wrote six blogs on topics ranging from LGBTQ to MOOCs
- Creating "WISCAPE Now in Higher Ed" podcast, in which I developed, interviewed and edited episodes featuring guests who work in postsecondary education institutions (including Dr. Morna Foy, Leslie Orrantia and Dr. Clif Conrad); produced six episodes
- Developing and orchestrating WISCAPE events, such as a series on insider research and a panel on college students with disabilities (see photos above)
- Organizing the UW-Madison Reception at the Association for the Study of Higher Education conference in Houston, Texas, co-sponsored by WISCAPE; the event boasted more than 50 attendees
- Writing content for WISCAPE website (including two blogs)
- Developing social media content
- Promoting WISCAPE programming
- Helping plan programming for WISCAPE Summit: Educating a Diverse Wisconsin
