Please visit your dancer's production page for specific dress rehearsal and arrival instructions.
Please arrive on time and as performance-ready as possible. All dancers should arrive with their hair and makeup completed and costumes and accessories organized.
On dress rehearsal day, we will not have access to the dressing room. Dancers may change in the bathroom or the designated changing space in our changing pods. On recital day, you will be able to change in the dressing rooms.
Upon arrival, all dancers must check in at the information booth, so our staff knows they are in the building. Once checked in and in costume, dancers will head into the auditorium, sit with their assigned class/group, and wait to be called to the stage.
We plan to begin rehearsal promptly with our finale, which includes all dancers participating in The Nutcracker Remixed. Because everyone is needed for this portion of rehearsal, punctuality is especially important.
Please come to rehearsal as ready as possible, as changing space will be limited. On Friday, we will only have access to the auditorium and bathrooms.
A designated changing area will be provided, including a changing room and pop-up changing tents. Costume racks will also be available in this area for dancers performing in multiple costumes.
Only dancers who are performing in all three productions on recital day may leave costumes at the venue overnight. All other dancers must take their costumes and personal belongings home following dress rehearsal, as we do not have additional storage space available.
If your dancer has a medical condition that may require attention while in our care or needs to have medication available, please notify our supervisors at check-in. All medications, including EpiPens and inhalers, should be clearly labeled with the dancer's name and given directly to our supervisors.
Dancer Supervision & Release Policy
Dancers cannot roam the building.
Dancers must stay with their assigned class/group.
Dancers are released only through the checkout procedure.
Parents/guardians need the appropriate matching pickup identification/lanyard.
Food, Drinks & Personal Belongings
Clear drinks that will not stain costumes are permitted backstage. We ask that snacks are clean and will not stain costumes or hands. Snacks should ideally be allergy-conscious and free from common allergens whenever possible.
No electronics/valuables as B.O.D.; the school and security are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Label everything.
Dancers participating in all three shows may leave their items overnight. Otherwise, all items must go home after rehearsal.
Dancers may leave dress rehearsal after they have rehearsed the finale and completed all of their scheduled dances. Please do not leave until your dancer has been officially dismissed.
We've created a Nutcracker Checklist with our recommendations for what dancers should bring to the theater, including snacks and drinks, as well as items that should be left at home.

Video & Photography
To protect our dancers and comply with copyright and child safety laws, personal photography and video recording are strictly prohibited during the performance.
We have partnered with videographers who will capture the show for you, and it will be shared as a digital file.
We know it can be tempting to record these special moments yourself. Still, we encourage you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the performance, knowing your memories are being professionally and safely preserved.
Thank you in advance for respecting this policy and reminding your guests to do the same. Our goal is to ensure we know exactly who is filming our dancers and that only trusted, currently enrolled families receive access to this footage. This helps us keep all of our performers safe while providing you with beautiful, high-quality memories to treasure.
